Our reading group and Mrs. Quezada's class finished up the book The Castle in the Attic by making their own castles. The students went back into the story to find the descriptions of the castle and used these details to construct their castles. When they were finished they presented them to the class and were graded on how many vocabulary words from the story they used in their presentations and how many details from the story they incorporated into their castles.
